The Town of Huntsville is warning residents and visitors to be on the lookout for numerous invasive and potentially harmful plants.
Officials say Poison Ivy, Giant Hogwood, Wild Parsnip, Japanese Knotweed and Invasive Phragmites are becoming common in Muskoka. The town says these plants can cause significant skin irritation which can lead to more serious health concerns.
Parks and Cemeteries Manager Colleen MacDonald asks everyone to keep children and animals away from these harmful plants.
