The Oxtongue Lake Community Centre Committee is hoping to get funding for a picnic shelter.
Members of the committee say they applied for a Canada 150 grant, and things are looking good.
There have been follow-up calls with more questions from the funders, which is a good sign the application is being considered.
They received many letters of support and pledges for the project which were very positive for the application.
