A fire in Port Carling is doing around $400,000 in damages. A boat works facility on Muskoka Road 118 was on fire last night, closing the road for a few hours overnight. Nobody was inside at the time of the blaze.
It looks like the fire broke out near a propane powered boiler system, however the exact cause is still under investigation. The building didn’t have any sprinklers, and so water was pumped from a nearby lake to help put it out.
