Lake of Bays homeowners are looking at a 4.3 per cent tax increase next year. Council passed its 2017 budget during Friday’s meeting, which equals out to be around $3.00 on a $100,000 home.
Mayor Bob Young calls that a fair number.
He also notes the township is able to keep the increase at four-point-three per cent is because money has been put aside in the past, and they aren’t spending frivolously.
