Weekend snowmobile crash sends Bracebridge man to the hospital with serious injuries

A Bracebridge man is in the hospital with serious injuries after a weekend snowmobile crash. The OPP says it happened Saturday morning, when the sled hit a hole and rolled over, ejecting the 44-year-old driver.

It happened on Trail D near South Monck Drive in Bracebridge. The police are still investigating, and reminding sledders most of the trails are not open and not yet considered safe to ride. You can stay up-to-date with trail conditions by using the OFSC’s trail guide map.

No other details on the extent of the rider’s injuries are being released.
