Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare has found a temporary chief to oversee operations at both hospitals in Muskoka.
Following the leave of Doctor Jan Goossens, the board has put Doctor Biagio Iannantuono in the position of Interim Chief of Medical Staff.
The position will run for one year while MAHC administration continues to search for a new doctor to fill the role permanently.
Iannantuono is very familiar with the operations of MAHC having been in Bracebridge for 20 years and wearing many leadership hats including President of the Medical Staff.
He says he his first priority in this position is the maintain the highest quality for medical care in Muskoka.
During his time in this position, Iannantuono plans to continue running his surgical practice in Muskoka.
