Keeping local roads safe is top of mind for the District of Muskoka and the OPP. The two are teaming up to host a community stakeholder forum Tuesday night to start the planning process for a public awareness campaign.
The goal of the campaign is to reduce speeding, share the roads, and avoid distracted and impaired driving. Huntsville OPP Detachment Commander John Graham says the police are not seeing a spike in dangerous driving but does want to be proactive.
