The town of Huntsville is $4 million richer and no it wasn’t an office pool hitting big in the Lotto Max.
The recent sale of the Waterloo Summit Centre for the Environment netted just over $3.9 million leaving councillors a unique question about what to do with the money.
Ideas include new parking structure behind town hall, purchasing property to alleviate the low-income housing shortage or simply socking it away in a long-term investment portfolio.
One councillor, Karin Terziano, is happy to just park the money until a consensus can be reached on what to do with it all.
