The fire bans in Muskoka are over.
The heavy rain the District saw yesterday was enough to ease the fire restrictions.
Hunstville/Lake of Bays Fire Prevention Officer Mike Vadlja confirmed the soaking helped get the tinder-dry conditions under control.
“The Muskoka Fire Chiefs have lifted the total fire ban for Muskoka,” Vadlja said in a release. “The Fire Danger Rating has now been set to HIGH”
That means there is no daytime burning and you must have enough water near you to put a fire completely out once you are done.
