The Bracebridge OPP has charged two people with impaired driving in separate incidents.
The first happened Saturday on Highway 11. The OPP says a pickup truck was pulled over for speeding just before 9:30am near Stevenson Road 1.
The officers asked the driver, a 27-year-old man, to take a roadside breath test which he failed, leading to his arrest. He’s scheduled to answer to his charges in Bracebridge court on February 4th.
The other incident involved a 22-year-old man from Bracebridge.
The OPP says officers spotted some very poor driving in the Taylor Road and Manitoba Street area around 3:00am Sunday. A vehicle was spotted driving partially in the wrong lane, swerving badly, and coming to a complete stop at a green light.
The vehicle was pulled over and the officers came to the conclusion the man, who only has a G1 licence, was impaired. He was charged accordingly and is scheduled to appear in Bracebridge court on February 12th.
