The District of Muskoka will be diving deep into the budget this week.
Councillors are meeting on Wednesday in Bracebridge for what could be a full day of budgetary review of costs on everything from staff salaries to infrastructure updates.
District staff have proposed a tax increase of about 2.7 per cent to help with the budgetary needs, which would add about $12.52 to a $300,000 home in Muskoka. There are also increases proposed for both water and solid waste collection.
The public meeting starts at 9:00am in district council chambers. District council will make a final decision on the budget before signing off on it on February 19th.
