There’s a new race in town! The KEE to Bala 5K race is mostly flat with a course along Highway 169. The run, which is in July starts and finishes in front of the KEE. Founder and veteran race director Sue Strong says there’s been a lot of local support including the Township of Muskoka Lakes council who voted in favour of hosting the run at a council meeting in December. Strong says she hopes the race will be an annual draw for hundreds of out-of-towners to come visit and contribute tourism dollars to the region.
