GRAVENHURST, ON – On the heels of an outdoor viewing party for the Toronto Raptors in Bracebridge, a local drive-in is inviting people to watch game five on Monday.
The Muskoka Drive-in Theatre is going to be putting the game up on both its screens at 9:00pm.
Owner William Alexander says they have been allowed to call themselves “Jurassic Park North”, a reference to the popular area outside Air Canada Centre that holds thousands of fans watching games on the big screen. This evening there will be a public screening of game four in Bracebridge in the parking lot area of the Griffin Gastro Pub.
Due to regular movie programming, the drive-in will not be showing game four tonight, but the game on Monday will be free to attend, though contributions of a non-perishable food item will be welcome.
“You have the option to sit in your car to watch or join others outside of the vehicles. We have only 250 car spaces so hopefully each vehicle will be filled with fans, but walk-ins will also be allowed to join,” Alexander said in a statement.
The drive-in will have its snack bar and barbecue open and no outside food or drinks will be allowed.
Entry is on a first come basis. The Muskoka Drive-in is located at 1001 Theatre Road, accessible off of exit 175 of Highway 11.
