GRAVENHURST, ON – There has been a change of command at the Beaver Creek Institution in Gravenhurst.
Warden Nancy Kinsman has been replaced by Warden Mr. Chris Germain.
The ceremony reinforces the responsibility of leadership in the role of institutional head.
The tradition represents the symbolic passing of responsibility, authority and accountability from one correctional leader to another.
Beaver Creek first opened in 1961 and it now houses both medium and minimum-security offenders. The facilities total capacity is 717 inmates.
