PARRY SOUND, ON- The man charged after the death of Heidi Lynn Slessor has been released from custody.
Slessor, a 34-year-old from Armour Township, passed away on July 15th.
Emergency services and police had responded to a home along Deer Lake Road in Emsdale around 8:40 p.m. that evening, to a report of a woman being struck by a vehicle.
26-year-old Thomas Stevens, from Perry Township, is facing charges of impaired operation causing death and operation of a motor vehicle causing death, as well as refusing to provide a breath sample.
He appeared in court in Parry Sound on Monday, and was granted bail.
His next court date is August 22nd, in Sunridge.
According to the Parry Sound North Star, a publication ban was put in place for any facts brought up at the bail hearing.
