BRACEBRIDGE, ON – If you like to have a cookie with your coffee and also give to a good charity, next week is your sweet spot.
The annual Tim Horton’s Smile Cookie campaign runs from September 16th to 22nd. Restaurant owners give the full dollar from every freshly baked chocolate chunk cookie with an icing simile that is sold.
In 2018 the campaign raised $13,298 in Bracebridge. Proceeds this year will be directed to the Alzheimer’s Society of Muskoka.
Last year across the country the campaign brought in $7.8 million. It is the 23rd year of the campaign which started as a local initiative at Hamilton Children’s Hospital in 1996.
Tim Horton’s restaurants will support 50 more charities in 2019, bringing the total to 550 nationally.
