GRAVENHURST, ON- The prison in Gravenhurst has been placed on lockdown again.
According to a notice from Beaver Creek Institution, the lockdown is in place to let staff members do an exceptional search. The search was ordered to ensure the safety and security of the facility, the inmates and staff.
Normal operations will be resumed as soon as it’s safe to do so.
Visits have been suspended until the search is completed.
Visitors who have already planned a visit are asked to contact the institution directly.
