The founder of Music for Young Children who lives near Bracebridge is making an appearance this weekend in Cookstown got a great cause. Frances Balodis founded the now world-renown organization. This weekend she’ll be performing a play-a-thon, playing all the hymns in the United Church hymnal as part of a fundraiser for Cookstown United Church. It’s happening at the church this Saturday starting at 9am and it could take 12 hours. There will also be a bazaar at the church that say. You can sponsor dollars per hymn or per half hour. Payments of cash or cheque are being accepted.
