The fire rating has been set to ‘Extreme’ for Bracebridge.
The town announced a municipal fire ban Monday in conjunction with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry’s fire ban that was already in place.
No burning of any kind is permitted until further notice.
The town notes the ban is to limit the interaction of MNRF and municipal firefighting staff with the public during COVID-19 and to minimize the chances of human-caused fires during this uncertain time.
