A Torrance cottager qualified for the semi final this morning in the women’s half-pipe event in Sochi. Katie Tsuyuki who also attended Rosseau Lake College got a score of 45.75 and 54.25 in two runs qualifying her for the semi final. In the semi, she has so far scored 55.20 in the first run. One of three Canadian women competing in the half-pipe, Tsuyuki is still in competition at this time. The finals take place at 12:30pm. It’s the first Olympics for the 31 year old who was born in Scarborough.
