Drug charges laid after ‘violent incident’ in Bracebridge

Police say a Gravenhurst man is facing several charges after a “violent incident” in Bracebridge.

According to Bracebridge OPP, officers were called to a home near Manitoba Street at 2:45 Friday morning, where the occupant had asked a guest to leave but they became violent and tried to damage property.

Officials say they found and arrested the 35-year-old nearby, charging him with possession of suspected cocaine and opioids for the purpose of trafficking, and property obtained by crime, as well as uttering threats.

He is scheduled to appear in Bracebridge court on January 30.
