Police arrested three people for unrelated shoplifting incidents on Friday.
Bracebridge OPP says at 1:00 p.m. on Dec. 1, officers were called to a retail store on Muskoka Road North after a Port Sydney man was caught stealing heated coats. Officials say they located the 52-year-old after he dropped the items and lost a shoe while fleeing through a snowbank, and he’s being charged with theft under $5,000 dollars.
Police also say they arrested a 26-year-old Gravenhurst woman around 6:00 p.m. the same day, after she was caught stealing from a pharmacy on Brock Street for the second time that week. She’s facing two counts of theft under $5,000 and one of possession of property obtained by crime.
Meanwhile in Bracebridge, police say they arrested a 29-year-old from Huntsville after he concealed items on his person at a store on Depot Drive. He’s also facing theft under $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime charges, as well as mischief.
All three accused have Bracebridge court dates in January.
