The Huntsville Lake of Bays Fire Department says it responded to several incidents over the past two days.
According to the department, firefighters responded to a 0.25-acre grass fire on Gryffin Lodge Road at 12:38 p.m. on Tuesday, and were able to quickly put it out.
The same day at 6:31 p.m., officials say two trucks and six firefighters were put on standby in Gravenhurst as that town’s fire department dealt with multiple fires. A few hours later at 7:42 p.m., multiple crews responded to simultaneous lightning strikes on Muskoka Road 117 and Fairy Falls Road.
Lastly, the department was one of three to respond to a tanker fire on Highway 11 in Bracebridge early Wednesday morning.
