Bracebridge OPP reports a stolen vehicle

Police are asking for the public’s assistance identifying a person of interest in a stolen vehicle investigation.

Bracebridge OPP says the investigation began after a property owner called on June 8 at 5:45 p.m. to report a suspicious vehicle, a red 2013 Mercedes, was parked on their Cedar Beach Road property in Bracebridge. The investigation revealed the vehicle had been stolen from Scarborough last August.

Police have obtained video footage of a person of interest who was walking on Woodchester Avenue in Bracebridge on Tuesday.

Police are asking the public to reach out if they recognize the suspect or if they have surveillance footage around Woodchester Avenue or Cedar Beach Road that may be helpful.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information related to the suspect is asked to contact Bracebridge OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477. You may also submit a tip online at www.crimestopperssdm.com.
