Officials with the District of Muskoka say Taylor Rd. will be fully closed from Front St. to Hiram St. for two days.
They detail how the closure will be in affect from 7 a.m. on Monday, July 22 until the work is done sometime the following Wednesday. However, officials add the sidewalks and downtown shops will stay open.
When the work is done on Wednesday, the road will re-open to single-lane traffic going westbound into downtown Bracebridge.
They explain the road closure is needed to give workers enough room to work on installing two new watermains. “Crews are preparing for challenging underground installations to ensure a reliable water supply for Bracebridge,” they write in a post on the district’s Facebook page.
This is the second of three scheduled closures of Taylor Rd. as part on the ongoing work on the bridge.
A date for when the final road closure will happen hasn’t been announced, but officials hope to confirm a date later this month.
