The District of Muskoka has launched a survey to gather feedback on the creation of a Municipal Services Corporation for the Muskoka Airport.
Officials say the corporation is a governance model that allows publicly owned entities like Muskoka Airport to operate with a more business-like flexibility.
They add the transition could benefit the airport with faster decision-making, more capacity to attract private-sector investment, and the ability to adapt quickly to new opportunities.
The Flight Plan Survey will be available until Nov. 29 through the District’s website.
The district says consulting with the community is an essential part of the process as they evaluate and explore the potential new governance model.
