If you have any feedback after you or your family have been a patient at a local hospital, Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC) wants to hear from you.
MAHC is seeking applications from community members who want to become Patient Experience Partner (PEP).
“Patients and their family members provide tremendous firsthand experience and feedback that is important to ensure we are always providing care that is centred on those we serve,” explains President and CEO Cheryl Harrison. “Patient Experience Partners bring that patient and family input closer to the bedside through input on policies, procedures and processes by sharing their own ideas and points of view.”
Officials say ideally, applicants must have been a patient at MAHC or family members of a patient at MAHC or another hospital in the last three years.
They add Patient Experience Partners can participate in ways that best match their interests, experience and availability, such as participating in key standing committees or focus groups, helping to develop patient- and family-oriented education material, and surveying for feedback.
