Three senior acting living programs receive funding

The province is investing over $3.5 million in 316 existing Seniors Active Living Centre programs across the province, including some here at home.

The District of Muskoka, the Bracebridge Senior Citizens Centennial Club and the Huntsville Active Living Centre are all receiving $12,500.

It’s the fourth and final quarterly installment payment this fiscal year to help the centres deliver in-person and virtual programs that help older adults keep fit, healthy, and socially connected to their communities.

Minister for Seniors and Accessibility Raymond Cho says this year, the government increased the investment in the centres by nearly a million dollars.

Along with the funding increase, the province is also adding an extra 100 senior active living centres across the Ontario.
