Weather-related roof damage has led to temporary closures at the Muskoka Lumber Community Centre.
The Town of Bracebridge says due to the winter storm that took place in early December, the roof of the building has sustained minor damages, which have caused some internal leaks.
Officials say due to the amount of snow that has accumulated, repairs have been a challenge.
Temporary fixes are now in place and will remain until the spring, when dry conditions allow for repairs to be completed.
The town says the facility remains open to serve the community, however the children’s and public washrooms in the library will be closed due to damage to a plumbing stack that was knocked over by sliding ice and snow. The Makerspace remains open however the exhaust hood has been damaged and programming and equipment availability may be modified.
All other library spaces and programs remain open.
Temporary repairs have also been done to the arena and fieldhouse.
