The River Mill Park Bandshell project in Huntsville is on hold. Council agreed to postpone the project for now. Mayor Claude Doughty says they had some concerns.

The Huntsville/Lake of Bays Chamber of Commerce is going to make due with the current structure this summer. Doughty says the Town Dock construction partly affected their decision as well.

The dock was damaged by last April’s flood and has been under construction since the beginning of February. The total cost to rebuild the dock is just over a million dollars, which the town has applied to get covered by Ontario’s Disaster Relief Fund.
