The Simcoe Muskoka Health Unit has given out 75,000 flu vaccination shots to the region this year.
Shots have been distributed to pharmacies and health care providers where residents can get them anytime for free.
Because of this the health unit has discontinued its own public flu clinics but will still provide shots to parents with kids under five and those without Ontario Health Cards.
Officials with the health unit strongly suggest getting the shot to immunize yourself against any latest straing of flu that may be circulating.
