A piece of Bracebridge history is getting a new purpose in the town.
Martin Sheffield recently purchased the Bracebridge Clock Tower and has slowly been converting it into a shopping centre.
Sheffield says he felt it was important to keep the building open and well-used by the community.
There have already been a few businesses and a community organization that have moved into the building and opened up shop.
Sheffield says he also plans to open a clock museum featuring antique clocks that he has purchased from all over the world.
The official ribbon cutting of the Clock Tower Centre was on Friday morning.
