Athletes from the Haliburton-Muskoka District do well at Ontario 55+ Summer Games

Ontario’s 55+ Summer Games have wrapped up, and two athletes in the Haliburton-Muskoka Region came in first place for the golf tournament.

Robert Pearce won gold in the Men’s 65 plus, and Jere Peke came out with a gold medal in the men’s 75 plus tournament.

In carpet bowling, Ranata Kreiger and Carrol Williams beat 15 other teams, and won gold.

In the 3 kilometers women’s Nordic walking Haliburton-Muskoka resident Ann McIvor came out with silver.

Another resident, Beverley Kerr came out with bronze in the Nordic Women’s.

The games started on August 9^th, and ended on the 11^th.
