Officials with the Township of Algonquin Highlands are calling for better communication with Lake of Bays. In a recent council meeting, Algonquin Highlands Reeve Carol Moffatt claimed Lake of Bays is working on fixing the issue of heavy fall traffic around the Dorset Tower, and the issue should be left up to her council.
However, Lake of Bays Mayor Bob Young says he hasn’t been formally approached about the issue. He notes traffic for the tower is building up on Highway 39, which could be a safety concern.
Young says he has no formal resolutions on the table to do something about the traffic.
