Volunteers, athletes and coaches are recognized for making Bracebridge great

Bracebridge officials are taking a moment to recognize the people behind the scenes.

On Wednesday, Mayor Graydon Smith was joined by the town councillors to say thank you to the volunteers, groups and athletes that are making Bracebridge great.

Councillor Steve Clement says every year, more and more volunteers are getting involved in Bracebridge.

Out of the award winners, Hilda MacFarlane was given the Senior of the Year Award for her ten years volunteering with Girl Guides and her work on the Village Square Advisory Committee.
