Bracebridge OPP has a new commander in charge.
OPP Inspector Brian Therrien has taken over at the Bracebridge detachment.
Therrien is replacing former Inspector Ed Medved, who recently retired, and he says he will be making community outreach his top priority.
Therrien is coming from the Aboriginal Policing Bureau in Orillia and brings 29 years of experience on the force.
He says he looks forward to using his experience in the bureau to create a strong connection with the residents of Moose Deer Point and the Wahta Mohawk Territory.
Officials held a change of command ceremony in Bracebridge today to welcome Therrien into his new position.
