The Christmas season is arriving across Muskoka and holiday-themed events and Christmas parades are being planned around the district.
Here’s a list of all upcoming events you can visit to help get you in the mood for the most wonderful time of the year:
November 16th
- Muskoka Arts & Crafts Christmas Show and Sale, 5pm to 8pm at the Bracebridge Sportsplex
November 17th
- Bracebridge United Church Christmas Marketplace, 9am to 3pm featuring crafts, preserves, wreaths, an indoor yard sale and activities for the kids
- Muskoka Arts & Crafts Christmas Show and Sale, 10am to 5pm at the Bracebridge Sportsplex
- Annual Babes and Tots Fundraiser, 10am to 5pm at the Huntsville Place Mall
- Bala Santa Claus Parade, 1pm starting at the Key and running along Muskoka Road 169 to the community centre
- Meet Santa and Free Family Skating, 2pm to 4pm at the Bala Community Centre
- Port Carling Santa Claus Parade, 6:30pm running from Ferndale Road to Bailey Street
November 18th
- Muskoka Arts & Crafts Christmas Show and Sale, 11am to 3pm at the Bracebridge Sportsplex
November 23rd
- Annual Tree Lighting and Black Friday Sales, starting 5pm in Gravenhurst
- Bala Tree Lighting, at the Bala Community Centre

- Gravenhurst Santa Claus Parade, 11am running through the downtown core
- SMMH Auxiliary Christmas Luncheon and Bazaar, 12pm to 4pm at the Bracebridge Rotary Centre
November 25th
- Port Sydney Village Tree Lighting, 4pm to 6pm at the Port Sydney Hall
November 26th
- Homemade for the Holidays, 10am to 6pm at Arts at the Albion in Gravenhurst, craft or donate gifts for patients at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital
November 30th
- CP Holiday Train, arriving at 2:50pm at the Old CP Station, concert runs from 3pm to 3:20pm featuring Terri Clark, Sierra Noble and Kelly Prescott (non-perishable food donations accepted)
- Oxtongue Lake Christmas Tree Lighting, 5:30pm to 7:30pm at the Community Centre
- Santa’s Festival of Lights and Shopping Party, 6pm to 10pm in downtown Bracebridge
- Huntsville Santa Claus Parade, 6:15pm starting at Centre Street, running along Main Street and King William Street, ending at Huntsville Mall
December 1st
- MacTier Santa Claus Parade, 1pm travelling through the downtown core
- Light up Dwight, 5:30pm at the Dwight Public Library
- Polar Express Movie Night, 6pm to 8pm at the Ryde Community Co-op in Gravenhurst
- Trek to Bethlehem, staring at 6:30pm in Bala, free and family-friendly tour
- Huntsville Public School annual Christmas Bazaar, 9am to 4pm featuring over 30 vendors offering all types of gifts for your Christmas shopping
December 2nd
- Bracebridge Rotary Disney-themed Santa Claus parade, 1pm travelling along Manitoba Street through downtown
- Honey Harbour Santa Claus parade, 1pm travelling through the community
- Sing in the Season with Noah’s Larks, 2pm to 4pm at Pioneer Memorial Church Hall in Huntsville
- Christmas in Muskoka – A Concert to Celebrate the Season, 2pm to 4pm at the Trinity United Church in Huntsville
- Huntsville Public School annual Christmas Bazaar, 10am to 3pm featuring over 30 vendors offering all types of gifts for your Christmas shopping
December 4th
- DIY Holiday Wreath, 6pm at the Baysville Public Library, you’ll need to call ahead to reserve a spot 705-767-2361
December 6th
- Macaulay Public School Winterland Gala, 7pm at BMLSS, raising funds for Grade 7/8 graduation trip to Ottawa
December 9th
- Baysville Santa Claus Parade, 1pm running twice along Bridge Street
December 15thÂ
- Peace on Earth – A Presentation of Seasonal Songs, 7pm at the Trinity United Church in Gravenhurst, accepting freewill offerings
December 16thÂ
- Volunteer Gift Wrapping Service, 12pm to 5pm at the Woodchester Villa in Bracebridge, just bring a non-perishable food donation for the Manna Food Bank
