A Bracebridge resident is being recognized for her years of service to the community.
Local lawyer and Rotarian Jean Polak is one of eight provincial residents being honoured with the Ontario Medal for Good Citizenship. The award was presented to Polak by the province’s Lieutenant Governer Elizabeth Dowedeswell at Queen’s Park on Thursday.
Polak is described by provincial officials as a gift to the community as she helps the most vulnerable as well works to protect the local environment.
