The province’s annual Sunshine List is out and there are some big Muskoka related numbers.
The list shows every public sector employee in Ontario who made a salary of $100,000 or more in 2018.
At the District of Muskoka, the top two earners are Commissioner of Community Services Richard Williams at $393,053 a year and his boss, CEO Michael Duben who takes home $211,028.
Within the District offices, there are 46 employees making over the $100K mark, with total wages of $4,823,784.
At the Town of Bracebridge CAO John Sisson had the biggest paycheque at $165,000.
A total of seven employees at the town offices are on the list, collectively bringing home just over $933,000.
In Huntsville CAO Denise Corry made $153,373 last year.
The Sunshine list at the town includes 10 employees who together earn $974,718.
At Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare 62 employees earned their way onto the list with CEO Natalie Bubela bringing in $258,894. Total earnings for MAHC employees topped $7M.
The Simcoe Muskoka Local Health Integration Network, one of a number of LHIN’s identified by the provincial government as surplus to needs with the new health super agency plan, features 33 staff on the list earning $4.5M. Vice President Rebecca Van Iersel was the top earner with a salary of $290,696.
On the education front, there were some big numbers as well.
The Simcoe Muskoka Catholic School Board had 284 staff that earned $100K or more totalling $31,860,585.
At the Trillium Lakelands District Board, 179 employees were on the list, with a salary bundle of $20,548,247.
