The charge of murder against a Bracebridge man has been downgraded.
Bryan Boland was facing a first-degree murder charge in the May 26th, 2017 death of his wife Wendy.
That charge was downgraded to second-degree murder last week at a judgment of a preliminary trial in Barrie Superior Court.
Boland will next appear on May 3rd for a judicial pre-trial, again in Barrie.
Boland was arrested and charged with first-degree murder after the body of his wife was discovered in their driveway on Wellington Street in 2017. He was denied bail after his arrest.
